This is one of the entrance to the Cumberland biking trails. This is an amazing area with some of the greatest mountain biking trails in North America. I prefer to hike them and others use dirt bikes or quads, but the majority of people you find here are on bikes.
Now, when you go into the mountains on bike or foot, it's a good idea to make some noise so you don't surprise a bear. I put a bear bell on one of the dogs, and jingle my car keys as we go along. I hope this works, so far it has because the only sign of bears I've seen are paw prints and poop.
