First Trip To Atlantic City

  • Harrahs Atlantic City Casino

I've been to Vegas twice (2007 and 2009 during the WSOP) and I live in the NorthEast so I've been to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun my fair share.

But I've never had the opportunity to hit Atlantic City until now.  My day job is sending me to AC for a trade show in June, staying at Harrah's which appears to be off the main boardwalk and not convenient to any other properties.

I'm desperately hoping to find time to play some poker, although the trade show is going to be long hours and multiple days.

Ideally I'd love to play some Omaha hi/lo or Stud Hi/Lo, Razz, Badugi or 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball.  I'm sure Harrah's will have plenty of mouth breathers at the NL tables and for conviences sake I may just wind up doing that.

But if I wanted to find some of the other games outside of Hold Em, where would you recommend I play?  What limits do they have, where is the action, etc?

Daniel K Also, if you have the money for it... eat at McCormick and Schmick's. Delicious. Also, outside of Atlantic City is a restaurant Chickie's and Pete's. Also seafood. try the crab fries with the cheese sauce, it's delicious.

Anthony Martino Thanks Daniel for the info, the cabs in Vegas were expensive so a trolley may be a good way to go. Not sure how much free time I'll have for the tables, but I'm going to try to squeeze in at least one session. I believe my company is paying for my meals...  more
