Modesty and Poker

  Tommy Angelo coined the best phrase to describe poker players:
  "75% of poker players think they are btter than the other 75%"
  
  I cant describe how true a statement this is, and I am guilty of it as well. What really brought this to the forefront for me was I got some poker coaching. I played in a "home game" with other members of the deucescracked site and we got some coaching on how we played.
  
  It was a real eye opener for me. I highly recommend coaching for anyone that wants to improve thier game. It doesnt have to be in that format, it could be informal "sweat" sessions, posting hand histories or talking about hands with friends. An outside perspective is always a great idea, as long as you have an open mind about the advice coming back.
  
  I am always surprised at how much there is to learn about poker. Im not sure anyone gets this game fully figured out. I think we all need to remember the game evolves and constant learning is something we all must do.
  
  I will no longer sit at a table thinking I am better than everyone else. I will learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of others. I will take and give advice to the best of my abilities to improve my game and that of my friends. Its time for some poker xen!
