How I know I made the right decision.

  • There are good and bad points to all of this.  First of all, in the great state of Pennsylvania, those with a PA gaming license (which you need to deal in a casino) are not allowed to gamble in any casino in the state.  Therefore, when I was deciding if I should attempt to become a dealer, I had to decide which I wanted to do, and which would be better for me and my family.

When I was officially accepted into the dealer school, I was offered my dream position of dealing poker in the poker room.  Which is great.  but the downside is that most of the classes start on Feb. 15th.  The Poker one starts on March 8th.  They want all the classes to end at the same time, and Poker is a shorter class since I don't need to learn advanced things like 4:1 payouts etc.  Cause it takes 3 weeks to learn that $5x4 is $20.  I'm sure that there are other things, I'm just pissed off about having to wait.

Which of course tells me that I made the right decision.  If I don't have patience, I really would suck at playing poker full time.
