I just got this e-mail from them today.

Because they make you think they're giving you $10 free, with no strings attached, based on the initial part of the email. but then they're asking for you to deposit at least $10 to get ahold of it.

So not exactly a "scam", but doesn't surprise me coming from this outfit. I got the same email since I don't play there anymore (and never really did much anyway, or fortunately)

I don't think there is anything wrong with the wording of the email. In fact, it looks pretty obvious and is worded a lot better than some of the emails I've received from other sites.

Had a bad experience there Anthony? You don't seem a fan.

I got the email as well and they reminded me that I still have cash in my account so I'll be there this weekend at some point.

The part that makes me feel like I'm watching a slap chop commercial is that you'd get $15 off of the 150% deposit bonus for a $10 deposit. But the bonuses don't stack.

They just don't have a very positive rep after the superuser scandal. I've never really used their site much

I'll agree with that Anthony, the superuser scandal did them no favours at all but I don't think that it's necessarily a bad site.

Another case for regulation I guess.

You know how I feel about AP/UB but in their defense I see nothing wrong with the email.

It's very clear. You want the 10.00 then put in at least 10. OR you go the bonus route.

$10 cash* gee thanks........similar to infomercials where they say: "but wait, call right now and we'll double the offer" and you just gotta pay extra shipping and "handling" (in an amount more than the item is worth)

not an outright scam.....but a bit "scammish" IMO....

Probably have to clear a certain amount of points as well to release it.... Party Poker does the same.

I guess that would be the only up side to taking the 10 for 10, no clearing bonus. i don't know if you can even remove as little as $20 from absolute though....

After the whole potripper thing; they shoulda thrown a twenty spot in Everyone's account, and I mean Everyone, with maybe the only string being a minimum withdraw of 50 bucks or something comparable.

That's no different than "We'll give you 100% of your first deposit" which is... every site, but then there's the unlocking it that is then in the detail.

AP isn't scamming, it's trying to get players who stopped back...

I got the email too. I never signed up on AP but i was on UB, so the fact they merged their network together, i was probably put on the AP list too. I already had gotten the UB email a month ago for the 10 bucks and take a survey as to why you didn't play. I took the survey, told them to fuck off.

Yea, Sharebuilder is doing that too... Set up an account through ING get 50 dollars to start... but you have to make an investment first, which can range anywhere from 10 bucks to 1000 or whatever.
