Hi all!!! and especial administration!may i ask you to creat PN cash table for our member on FTP??? where we can enter and find each other... i guess its will be very fun and interesting to play with u all! and also plz low limits :)

What do u think about it?

There should be a friends/buddy list you can create on FTP. Just ask some of your friends here for their usernames and that way you can get together :)

I try to avoid playing cash games with people i know. Maybe if it was a table full of us that would be different, but at most it was me, chato, and i think six showed up for whatever reason for a short time one day. Since i get the friendly mindset i feel like i'm playing soft against them (even though i really don't play THAT many hands at a cash game) so i try to avoid it on that level...

as well, there's plenty other idiots in the sea to take money from.

When I was in Vegas for Thanksgiving, this issue came up with our friends. The poker room offered to open a table so we could all play together and Kathy said she didn't want them to do that because she wants to take other people's money, not ours. I found it funny, because I never even thought of that! Just too competitive, I guess.

And yet, when you have a home game, that's what you are doing!

If you filled up most of the table and it was a group trip, it's kind of pointless... because then why WOULDN"T you have a home game? There's no rake involved there.

Overall there is the mindset that hopefully everyone will win on the trip. If one or two of you are being competitive at the same poker table, that's one thing... if you're all just beating eachother, it's pretty pointless. Especially since at the end of the day there is usually (at least for me and my friends when we've done this) a celebratory dinner of "Hey we won something, we can eat now!" and we either all pitch in or the big winner pays for part of it so in the end everyone wins in some way... But if there was one winner out of the whole group when you all played against eachother, you're basically paying them to pay for dinner. Kind of redundant and defeats the purpose.

If you want to play against all your friends at a cash game, stick to the home game.

I play different against some people (nick..aka supermanpoker) than others... I dont mind home games but all at the same table at a casino? No I would rather take others money

do you play in the mucking monkey tournies ribby has every week? thats a great way to play with the pokernations community with out taking someones whole roll. i agree with the other posters that i'd rather have people i don't know at my cash tables. that way their are no hurt feelings involved.

I totally get what you are saying, DJ. I just never really think of the money. It's a real flaw in my personality.

And why u all think that this is a bad idea?! U can find for exampe the railbirds table on FTP

i play there from time to time and this is like realy fun and interesting when u know,who u play with :)

When I play home games its usually low cost tourneys... More pride on the line than money. There is still obviously a semi-decent winning for the winner, but you only go home down $30 if you dont win anything.

I dont play cash home games versus friends for the most part.

I have played in Casinos with some friends, a couple of us at a table - I didnt soft play them though hehe

It costs like a million FTP points to get your own custom table, and it would be 5-handed anyways as the purchaser of said table reserves a spot at all times.

Not at the moment ---- but I wouldn't count it out in the future. Many of the Mucking Monkeys play on numerous different sites and have lots of success .

I think joining the Mucking Monkeys is a great idea. I'm a member and I love playing tournaments with fellow Poker Nations people. It's a really cool group of people.

They have a weekly sceduled tournament on Sundays, as well as some specialty events - such as the forum wars tournaments. Definitely a group to join. Here's the Mucking Monkeys' page on Poker Nations: www.pokernations.com/group.php

Technically you don't even have to join to play. just show up. Ribby posts the tourney info when there is one coming up. Just be on the lookout.

What about a PN private tourney? Just low limit like a $5 buy in. Might be fun, plus I'm sure all the guys would like a pissing contest, mostly for bragging rights.

We'll have to set a private tournament up. Maybe sometime between christmas and new years?
I think it's best to wait at least until after christmas, because there are a few tournaments on the table already and, I don't know about everybody else, but I have a TON of SHOPPING and BAKING to do still!!

Only 6 days until christmas eve.

We've done private tourneys before for members. Right now I'm focusing on having members get involved with the OFC freerolls and money added events on Full Tilt (while representing PokerNations) and also exclusive sponsored freerolls for members, plus keeping members apprised of upcoming Monkey and Twitter Poker Tour events.
