  Sounds like you lost a coinflip? 
  
  The system selects winners randomly.  Sometimes the person with hundreds of entries snags it, but we've also had people who entered a giveaway 1 time win as well, you just never know!

  Also, if it's any consolation I believe neither of the two winners in this giveaway have won before (we had a period of time where one of our Community Team members Chato was winning just about every shirt package there was, and that dude doesn't even wear shirts!)
