  Your opponent made an awful preflop call from the BB, imo. Your flop bet could be a little larger, but it's not terrible in relation to the pot size.
  
  I don't like your turn bet of 225K because you're pretty committed given the stack and pot sizes on the river. So I'd prefer a turn shove rather than an odd bet like that.
  
  River shove I'm not a fan of either. What do you hope to accomplish with a river shove when your bet is like 25% of the current pot size?
  
  If your opponent had a whiffed flush draw, your hand is ahead and you win showdown. Yes, perhaps your opponent could be scared of you showing up with the 7 here, but since you raised UTG that's pretty unlikely for him to put you on that.
  
  Checking the river at least keeps you with around 10 bb's and still in the tourney.

  I don't like the bet on the river. You are only getting called by a better hand there with 4 to a straight on the board I think that is a bad bet.

  I felt like I was pot stuck at that point. I'm crippled at 22 bets and change if I just check behind him, and I'm never the type to surrender a huge pot that I built.

  You are only pot committed on the River if he shoves first and you have to make a decision as to whether you call off the rest of your chips or fold with a short stack.  When he checks to you, you have the best of both Worlds.  By checking you win a humongous pot when ahead and still stay alive when behind. 
  
  I have been "crippled" with far fewer chips than you would have had and come back to win.  Always leave yourself some outs.

  What hand did you put him on? obviously he made a loose call preflop, but what hand could he have that you have beat that would call your river shove? KT QT JT? That's about it.

  Perhaps you feel crippled because you're so much shorter than the massive stack you commanded at the start of the hand.
  
  But tournaments are about survival AND chip accumulation.  I don't think there's a ton of value in shoving that river.  There's certainly a lot more value in having a workable stack that has fold equity................not to mention a free showdown where sometimes you have the best hand and build an even nicer chip stack and sometimes you have the worst of it but remain alive and in contention.
  
  Last I checked you can't win a tournament from the rail

  But you can go out first and second in the same tourney -- I did it. I'm kinda proud of it now. (probably can only joke about it cause I was running great before and after it)

  In tourney's there is no question in my mind that in order to win u gotta get lucky. Pure and simple, if ur running good have some skill on what to play in cards and mostly read ur opponents. Don't play the cards play ur opponents. You've been sitting there playing these same guys for hours and hours not like a cash game were people move in and out of a game specially in a casino. I focus on their play who makes blufffs, who only plays the nuts. Does not work all the time but, ur looking for an edge any edge. Tourney's are hard but, there's gotta be a way to get to the finel table or in the money and some players as we all know get there more than their share.It's nice to come in first but, it's also nice to win some money after sitting there for 10 hrs.   I don't get your kamikaze river shove which never gets paid off by worse. The turn card is actually a good spot to check behind, both for pot control and to extract value on the river from diamond draws when you hit the flush as well as from worse made hands when you don't. Villain's also justified in defending his blind with the suited gapper preflop, so I really don't see what there is to complain about here.
  
  I've seen you post a handful of misplayed hands on this forum lately. Maybe you should be looking for a hand in helping you play better rather than an ear to listen to your complaints?  Feel free to PM me for feedback whenever you want -- I may not be around often, but I still get email notifications for PM's, and I check my email often.
