  I'm a huge movie fan, and I'm sure we have some others out there in the forum so I figured I'd start a thread. We can have long discussions on movies and maybe some polls.
   
  Also, it'd be cool if we could suggest movies to see / not to see for everyone, whether they're in theatres or if they're an old movie out of theatres.
   
  But if you do rate, use something like this format.
   
  Movie Title, Rating 1-10, Reasoning, Whether it's worth to see or not to see.
   
  and most importantly, NO SPOILERS!

  Funny People, 3/10, it was a really crappy movie with minimal funny parts, I left 45 minutes early! Don't waste your money.
  
  Inglorious Basterds, 7/10, they did ok with it, kinda slacking in a plot but the killing was entertaining. I'd say it's worth it.
  
  The Final Destination, 5/10, the worst one by far, the special effects seemed like they were 10 years behind. And the way they killed the people off? Come on, get something unique for once. Don't waste your money, AT ALL!

  The Hangover, 9/10 just because no movie is perfect. This is by far in the top 3 comedies I've seen, and top 10 movies for me. I've seen it 4 times in theatres, I'll probably see it once more before it leaves theatres. And I'm deffinately buying it on DVD. Reasoning? It's just so damn funny! DEFFINATELY worth it!
  
  The Goods, 8/10, some pretty funny parts but some of the things made no sense, it's worth the $8 I paid
  
  Couple's Retreat, 6/10, it was pretty funny in the beginning but as the movie went on it turned less comedy and more romance. I also saw about 4-5 microphones they use in movies due to the bad editing.

  Law Abiding Citizen, 9.5/10, AWESOME movie. So many insane parts, a must see.
  
  Paranormal Activity.....I would rate it but I had to leave 20 minutes in because I was throwing up haha. But some friends said it was the scariest movie they had seen all year.

  The Step-Father, 7/10, kinda slow and nothing too crazy about the murders, also, they re-used the 'shut the door and hes behind it' thing about 10 times this movie.
  
  She's Out of My League, 8.5/10, awesome comedy and not too much romance in it for me. The actors in it somewhat stem from the mainstream, but they all fit their roles pretty well.

  Shutter Island, 8/10, a little long for my liking but the overall story was good an entertaining, just needed some more explanation.
  
  Wolfman, 9/10, awesome movie, the perfect amount of action in it with a nice plot, must see. Also not bad because it was free!

  Brooklyn's Finest, 9.99/10, no movie is perfect, but this is one of those movies that comes as close as possible. The story line was one of the best I've seen, and the way they correlate the stories with each other was genius. If you are going to see one movie this year, please let it be this one.
  
  Hot Tub Time Machine - 8/10 - Funny movie to see, but don't see it with someone if seeing a lot of nudity would be awkward. A little hyped up by the critics, still a good movie.

  Alright I got caught up on most of the movies I rated in that thread, I see movie every weekend or so, so expect a lot of ratings Grin
  
  
  Also, if anyone is as big a movie buff as I am, check out this website for some cool movie posters you can buy. The Shutter Island one is really nice.

  Nightmare on Elm Street - 8/10 - I've never seen any of the Freddy movies, still gotta go back and watch those, but I thought this was pretty good. Worth it if you want a horror.

  Really? I thought it was decent enough but I'd give it 7.5/10 or 8/10 tops just because of the ending alone. Great movie sure, but the way they ended it was so terrible and has to hurt the over all rating at least somewhat.

  G.I. Joe - 6/10 -
  
  Wasn't the worst movie ever but was clearly far from the best. Every time I saw Zartan I thought he was going to say "anaksunamun". The movie was too CGI and I just didn't think this was the best movie to turn from Cartoon to Big screen. Though Siena Miller as the Baroness I could live with looking at.
  
  
  Drag Me To Hell - 3/10 -
  
  I love Sam Raimi for giving us Bruce Campbell alone, but I have to say this was pretty terrible from the start. The movie is about a girl who turns down a Gypsy for a loan so the Gypsy curses her and then she has to find a way to rid her self of the curse before it is too late.
  The Plot was cheese but even then I gave Raimi the benefit of the doubt since some of his other stuff whilst Cheesy made for good movies (Evil Dead trilogy). I sat through this abomination and while it had a few parts where you actually may smile a bit at,  the movie itself was a giant waste of 99 mins, especially with the ending they give you. If you ever want to be bored for almost 2 hours I'd easily recommend it but if you actually like movies (and life) I say stay away.
  
  
  Transformers - Revenge Of The Fallen - 6.5/10 -
  
  I may be a little harsh with this movie but it had the unfortunate fact that it followed Transformers 1 and in comparison it's not even close. The Movie itself was alright I guess but the whole "Fallen", Matrix thing was kind of a dumb story line.
  The story seemed like they just made something up without thinking and then turned it into a movie. Shia LeBeouf's character is either the luckiest or unluckiest guy ever. Unlucky for the fact that the Transformers problems always seem to revolve around him and Lucky for somehow having smoking hot Megan Fox's Character.
  
  Micheal Bay is known for CGI use and he doesn't disappoint in this movie, so if you like CGI then you'll enjoy this. If you like the first movie then I guess it's worth a watch but in all reality this movie was all hype. I won't recommend it but if it's on, there are worst movies that you could be watching (i.e Drag Me To Hell).

  I finally saw Avatar and give it a 6-7 on a scale of 10, wasn't bad, but wasn't anything near how people hyped it up.
  
  If you've seen CB4 and liked it (Chris Rock comedy about the early 90's rap scene) then you'll probably enjoy the more obscure Fear Of A Black Hat. I saw that one first and when I saw CB4 there were a lot of similarities, both came out around the same time I think.
  
  The movie Glory (about the 54th Massachusetts Regiment of black soldiers during the Civil War) is a great flick with a lot of name actors.
  
  Event Horizon is another awesome flick (sci-fi horror)
  
  I actually met someone at the casino yesterday who had never seen The Blues Brothers, wtf?

  "Glory" is a 10/10 film -- simply great. Denzel, Mathew Brodrick, Morgan Freeman, Cary Elwes.
  
  I am a bit of a movie buff, but I have never seen Blues Brothers all the way through. lol

Star Wars #10 All Arnold Swatanagger. #10........

  Watching "Pursuit of Happyness" in my sociology class next week, I've seen it a few times, it's an excellent movie.

  Robin Hood - 8.5/10 - Nice plot with good action to keep the viewers entertained. I reccomend this only if you know the story of Robin Hood.

  Iron Man 2 - 9/10 - Awesome action and the special effects were phenomenal. I saw it regularly, but I can assure you it would be amazing in 3D. Make sure you stay until the end of the credits, there is a hidden clip for your Marvel fans! :D
