I have been playing freeroll tournements on Bodog every night and in the past two nights I have come extremely close to being in the top 100 (no money is given unlil you reach 63rd, but that's not my point here. Out of either over 4K people or 3K people I am reaching the top 100 and its all because of the advice I have received here.

And for that, I want to thank you all, espcially Anthony and Ronin for the great advices they have given me and continue to give me.

I've been to other porker forums and have found some people to be rude and not helpful. This forum and the SixandFourum give good advice.

I thank each and everyone of you for being honest with my when I asked a question. And recommending books to read. Need to do some serious reading of The Green Book so I can begin on the The Book.

My tournement plays are getting better and better by the day.

Someone onced asked me how do you get to Carnifge Hall and I tell....practice, practice, pratice

How do you become good at poker, practice practice practice. Learn to talk a hit. Learn to take a hit. Don't become full of yourself when you win and don't hate the game when you lose. And the number one rule is...lose the SELF ENTITLEMENT you have about yourself when you loose the perfect hand. Don't get caught up in the American Airlines and King Kourts. They are only two cards.

Glad you're finding the site and the people that frequent it helpful. Kudos to Anthony and Ronin!

That's exactly what we're trying to achieve at Poker Nations, a friendly site where everyone is welcome and all feel comfortable.

Thanks for asking questions Nikki. Many of us love to see others come up from novices and grow into great players and start winning big.

It also helps those with experience to reinforce key game concepts by discussion strategy with others over and over, so keep those inquiries coming and we'll see you at the final table of a televised event one of these days! :)

It's no prob Nikki, and always keep asking questions. and I agree with AJ that it's really nice to see people get better. And we all do benefit from the experience. It really does help us reinforce concepts of our own game.

We all have different styles, and it never hurts to see something from a different perspective. It's a great way to learn how to change gears.

And if we are both at a televised final table some day -- you better soft-play me until we are heads up LMAO j/k :)

I still have the midget rage inside of me when some moron who can't even spell poker lucksacks their way into a huge win against me, I feel your collective pain.

I guess I just see things different, cause I just don't tilt at poker. Maybe cause I mostly play tourney, and just know we all start at the same level in chips (for the most part -- sans re-buys. . .etc)

So even if I have a bad beat, I know that me being upset just effects my game in the long run, or maybe in the same tourney or cash game.

When I play poker, I go to battle, I don't go to war. treat each poker session/tourney as a battle, and your bankroll as your war-chest.

So with not being careless with the bankroll, the hits just never hurt. Everyone has their comfort levels when using the bankroll. (I stay between 5-10% -- but closer to 5)

Never gamble what you can't afford to lose.

and in cash games for example, I want at least 3-4k behind me for even a 1/2 NLHE game.
