  I don't know what went down at the other forum, but I think Ronin had a legit concern. I haven't read the 2p2 thread, so not sure of all the outpouring of support or the reputation of the OP.
  
  But I think it's a legit concern, in a gambling community, when someone says "hey, everyone transfer me money to my online accounts and I'll donate it to charity for you!" that people are going to be suspicious, and it does sound like a scam.
  
  So I don't think anyone would be wrong for being suspicious there. Anyway, it's the holiday season, so let's put away all the negativity and try to be cordial with one another please. And grats on raising the money thus far Calvin, that's great!

  Its fine raising concerns, in fact I encourage people to be more safe online, however, u do have to take into account the credibility of the person(s) you're questioning. Viffer and Durrrr did the same thing last year, and raised 25k-30k I believe. Would anyone have questioned their legitimacy? Ofcourse sparky999 is not as well known as Viffer, but I'd say the chances him scamming the money are just as good as Viffer, aka 0%.
  
  If you looked at the thread, in the first page, I was actually the first person to ask sparky999 about his credentials, but I did it in a nice respectful intelligent manner, just like you and Ian did, unlike Ronin who came off sounding like a troll, and a pr**k in my opinion.
  
  The charity's basically done now. You and Ian raised the question about the guys credentials, spending 2 minutes to read the thread would have answered your questions. Plus its safe to assume I wouldnt be posting this on PN unless it was legit
  
  And for those who are interested, here are the results of the toy drive. Good, but I felt we coulda done better. I talked to the organizers and we will be making this a yearly thing. Cheers.

  Donations so far total a little over $5400 and after accounting for some peoples preference to send to their native country these are the numbers as they stand right now. (all in US$)

  Donations are now closed, any late donations that I receive will go directly to the u.k. only if I receive them before i go shopping on Monday
  
  thepizzlefosho is going to be adding to the U.S. donation by taking advantage of the tax credit system, so the grand total raised after everything should be around the $6000 mark which I think is a fantastic effort by everyone involved
  
  Please check back in this thread over the next few days as we will be aiming to get a ton of photos posted, the plan at the moment is to do this again next year and try to get even more money raised.

  I don't need to be called names that you wouldn't say to may face -- I merely raised concerns that's it.
  
  But AJ is correct -- it is the holiday season. And helping kids who are less fortunate is a good thing.
  
  I can transfer a couple dollars to help the cause -- Just tell me where -- I am not transferring it to people I don't know.
