Deep in Turbo Tournament - How Do You Play This?

1644 entrants, top 162 get paid, we're down to around 220 players now. I believe avg stack was around 17K or so and this hand comes up:

Shove will not get anyone to fold. So its either fold or call. But its only 1600 to call so I call and hope to hit the flop. You're too short for any moves.

You don't think a squeeze play is possible? remember that opponents in a $3 tournament don't always grasp the concept of pot odds

Tough spot, where are you place wise. If your 120-150 of 200 insta fold, If your 150-170 of 220 I'd consider a fold if its a tight big stack that is raising. If your like 180 - 220 of 220 I'm leaning toward a shove. Or maybe a stop & go on a favorable flop. In spot like this I'm worried about flipping against Ax. How has the big stack been? has he been raising every hand? On a table like this I would be raising every single hand having that many chips.

I don't have the notes in front of me, but I remember I had pegged the big stack as pretty bad. I didn't have enough chips, given the structure, to fold my way into a cash. Nor was I interested in just cashing, shooting for that first place which was worth over a grand

We'll if its implied odds based on the tournament outcome, its a shove.

Your not in horrible shape by folding either...

Big stack isn't going to fold preflop so call or fold then shove a good flop or fold when he undoubtedly will c-bet.

I really do not believe a squeeze will make the initial raiser fold. He has a ton of chips and cna afford to call you with just about any 2 cards.

After posting blinds you are down to about 9700. If you call you will be left with about 8100. You're utility factor between those two amounts is about the same as I think that once the blinds pass you, you will have just enough to get fold equity on your shoves. Call and see if you can hit is the play. Folding is too weak and shoving gains you nothing.

I figured villian was using his large chip stack to try and abuse us near the money bubble with the minraise, and with another cold-caller in the pot, figured the pot size was large enough for me to try a squeeze play.

Villian had somewhat recently lost a big pot to another stack at the table, doubling that guy up, and I figured he:

1. Was weak
2. Wouldn't want to double up another player and watch his monster stack continue to be chipped away at
