Well, it could have been worse, but it could have been better.
100 players- the buy-in ended up being $60 total. It was a $45 buy-in plus a $10 bounty and $5 for the dealer which got you an extra 1k in chips. So we started out with 4500.
Lori busted out before the first break. I just kept grinding, stealing when I could.
My table was a bit loose/passive for most of the tourney. I was able to protect my BB pretty well. But I wasn't getting much for cards.
Knocked out a couple people for $20 in bounties.
About 4 hours into it we finally got to the final table. I was getting short, but had enough that if I doubed up I could have been in great shape.
The chip leader had about half the table's chips. The blinds were at 600/1200 and a 200 ante.
I was under the gun -- Looked down to a Q-10 suited clubs. I figured lets give it a shot before the blinds just eat me up. I was hoping to just steal the blinds for the next round.
Everyone folded except the chip leader -- he thought about it for a couple minutes.
Call.
He flipped over A-10 outsuit.
Flop: club-club - blank
Turn: no help either
River: blank
Chip leader won with an ace high.
So I went out in 9th. The chip leader hadn't bought a bounty -- so I got mine back. So I got $30 in bountries + $130 for 9th = so I profited $100 (then minus 3 drinks and a buffet after LOL)
Soooooooooo in the end, I netted about $80 for the day.
Was a fun time (draining though)-- got so close, yet so far.
