  It's with great excitement that I make the announcement of an upcoming platform upgrade.  This has been a long time coming, and will be done the weekend of the 23rd.
  
  We will be shutting down PokerNations during that weekend to perform the migratation of profiles, blogs, photos, forum posts, etc. over to the new software.
  
  When this is complete, we will send out a notification to all members so you can log back in and update your accounts.
  
  One of the features we're most excited about is facebook integration.  On the new platform you'll be able to login with your facebook account and even share updates here to your facebook wall!
  
  In addition, commenting on site content will now have multi-way notifications.  No longer will only the creator of a blog post, photo album or poll be the only person notified of comments.  If you've commented on content you'll be notified of replies so you can continue discussions on things you found interesting.
  
  And the "like" feature similar to Facebook will also be present.  There's a number of other changes, but we prefer to keep things a surprise and make you wait to open the gift  
  
  Can't wait to introduce you all to the new PokerNations next weekend!

  Expect a huge change but one that will make your Poker Nations site even more of a pleasure to use!

  I have beta tested the new site and it is ok with the few people that are on it, but it is going to be GREAT when it gets opened up to all!

  I have forum concerns -- when it comes to youtube abilty and being able to post poker articles.

  Unfortunately when we first obtained this social platform there wasn't a forum provided, so we had to obtain one from a 3rd party developer.  That developer has stopped supporting their forum software and our only option is to migrate to the forum that is now offered by the original platform developer.
  
  This will mean differences in functionality.  However, the use of the HTML button on the new forum will enable you to post a youtube video into your forum post.
  
  And you can still copy/paste text into your posts, I just don't believe it will carry over HTML from other sites automatically.
  
  Plus, we'll be adding a news page and regularly providing updated articles for everyone as well.

  Just a reminder this Friday we'll be locking down the site so we can perform the migration. We'll send out notifications to everyone as soon as the site is re-opened (we expect this late Sunday)

  Mehh after you pulled that stunt with the WSOP seat im poping every now and then to see how the community is growing .. but i wont be that active thought. Peace ppl

  You Should stay George. Have some fun.  I don't really think that was a stunt, just a bad cirumstance.

   

  I have no stake in this, but that's just how I see it. It's better to let the past be the past. Just like shaking off a bad beat LOL

   

  So hopefully you stick around -- and be well.

  Hey George, you're certainly right to be upset over the situation, it's not something we were pleased with and it is something we hope to be able to rectify in the future.
  
  The winner of the Vegas promo was determined by the system prior to our switching to the new platform, and a screenshot was taken.
  
  When we're in a position to award it, we'll have the winners information available.
  
  Also, aside from that promo, we did give away a variety of prizes to our members. From poker software, books, chip sets, to even a trip to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
  
  Thank you for coming back and sharing your thoughts, even if you're still upset it's appreciated.
