So since everything is screwed up in the online world, I have been playing some online play money tourneys --and crushing them.

but dang this sucks.

I guess if they do figure this out, I can tell you where all the fish are.

im thinkin bout making a small desposit on bodog or carbon poker or at least attempting one lol... carbon poker has daily 200 dollar freerolls

I recommend Carbon Poker over bodog for any multitabler. Bodog max tables is 4 while on merge network its 16 tables.

Yeah, they daily freerolls and for those that deposit you have 14 days entry into the daily $500 first time depositor freeroll.

since i dont have much choice ive been playing merge network lately and its better than bodog but thier new software update sux,but have built a br at several of thier sites.not making any deposits until the smoke clears,lol

Be careful that the play money doesn't dilute your skills. I've met some guys in a home game who bragged about playing poker on Facebook.

The host told me the guys who played in his game don't get in there with garbage, they "know how to play".

Then I saw them limp-calling raises with K7 and K9 offsuit and all sorts of trash. It was laughable at best.

yea im gonna go with carbon poker mainly cause I like the software better than bodog and I heard that opr is going to start tracking their tournaments starting in may.

It might be a while b4 the smoke clears so I think I'd like to play b4 that site gets shut down too lol but i won't be depositing much for that reason

For you guys that might want to play for free, but with better competition I got a daily home games play money game going. There will be leaderboard points just for fun if anyone wants to join me in that ha its in pokernations home games it's at 9:30 pm est and its called "screw the government" lol

lol, nice. I'm usually in bed between 9-10pm because of my work schedule, but I hope to play one of those PokerNations games with ya in the near future!

cool, i could bump it up to like 7:30 if that gets more ppl playin it, if we got a regular group goin in it i might be able to take play money seriously ha

it would be the toughest play money game in the history of online poker! play money is serious business

I think if we did it regularly once/week at a reasonable time that might fly. I generally work until 5pm, then when I get home I have to spend "some" quality time with my wife or she'll stab me.

So something like 7:30pm might work, depending on the field size and structure. Not sure how the play money things run?

We can set it up to be pretty quick or long, u can have 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000 or 5000 starting stacks and the blinds can be 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes...5k with 20 min would be painful lol...im liking either 1000 and 10 min or 2000 and 5 min, but 5k or 3k with 3 min blinds could be interesting

if we all play "for real" it will easily be the toughest play money game ever...by a longshot lol

Maybe something like a Wednesday or Thursday night game with a quicker structure, and then a Sunday afternoon (2pm EST?) game with a bit more play to it.

I assume we'd have to download the .net version of Stars in order to participate?

that sounds good how about wed 7pm EST 2000 chips 5 min blinds and and sunday 2pm EST same but with 10 min blinds and you can still play the play money games through the .com version so you dont have to download that

I'd be down for playing those, and can help get the word out. Although this weekend Jenn and I are moving into a new place so won't be able to attend then.

How about we shoot for running these not this week, but next week. That gives people time to come back to PN and check it out (we relaunched easter weekend so a lot of people probably didn't even check their emails yet)

That will give us time to promote it a bit and snag good attendance. Can you shoot me a pm with details on the home game again, how people can join it for invites, etc. Then I can do up an Official thread to promote it.

Maybe we can even look at doing it in a league format, with points and such (although I'd lean towards the Wednesday game just being recreational and the Sunday one being for the league)

And then award some prizes at the end of each month (poker book, pokernations shirt, etc)

Yea it's going to be a week or two at least before we get many people anyway.

If some prizes are going to be awarded I can imagine us getting a lot more than 50 people which is the home games cap, so I'm seeing if pokerstars will let me set up a weekly private play money game.

Either way, I'll figure it out and shoot you a pm with the details. I think prizes for a play money league is a great idea especially now that real money play isn't an option for a lot of people.

I'll give it a shot -- we can just battle for the love of the game. Playing for bragging rights is good.

Maybe a free PN T-Shirt or hat would be cool too to help get the name out there in the real world.

I'm asking different sites about it. I'd rather it be on pokerstars but bodog or carbon poker might work. I would say full tilt, but I was banned from that site a couple years ago because me and my dad used to play on the same IP address. (we never cheated tho! lol)

Available features to you should be present in the top bar of a post, where you see the date and time, look over to the right.

When logged in as an admin I see quote, edit, delete and report as options

I have been playing on Poker Host(merge gaming) and BoDog. I like the Merge software better, but I still miss Full Tilt. Theyhad the best software.

Full TIlt is certainly slick but there's room for improvement. I'd like to see one of the European sites taking the lead on design and ease of use now.

I must try PKR again as I haven't been there for a while. I like it there but it's sometimes a little clunky and confusing. Maybe it's better these days.

William Hill does a good site as well - it's pretty slick and there are a few more too.
