Last nights episodes was one of the more eventful for me. What stood out was the awful coolers that Vanessa Rousso kept having.
She runs AK into AA and KK. Then she's in a three-way hand where a guy raises with 9T, she calls with 66 and another player with QJ of hearts. The flop is 69T and the guy with two pair bets 25K, Vanessa minraises to 50K with bottom set and the guy with the open-ended straight draw thinks they're both FOS and shoves. Top-two folds and Vanessa, despite a bad feeling, makes the call. Of course the 8 spikes on the turn and the river bricks, halving her chip stack.
Shortly thereafter she runs into the same guy, this time he has AA and she has QJ of spades and the flop comes 56J and continues to bring low cards, and she isn't able to extract herself and is sent home.
Aside from that, other things that stood out:
Some guy with the last name Berlin who was doing a piss-poor Hellmuth impression, where he whined incessantly about losing with AK on a J-high flop when he turned an Ace and was up against AJ, yapping about how he had "trapped" his opponent "the whole way", lol.
And then there was a hand where a guy raised to I think 18K with AT offsuit and Negranue woke up with KK and shoved for 120K total, and wouldn't stop talking to his opponent, which pretty much (to me at least) gave away that he was comfortable and happy and wanted a call.
Oh yeah, one of the hands where Vanessa held AK and was up against either KK or AA, she wound up folding but tossed in an "I don't believe you" as she was folding, which encouraged her opponent to show his superior hand. I was telling Jenn while we were watching "she's saying that to manipulate him into revealing his hand" and sure enough it worked!
