  This is a very subjective issue. In live poker I have seen some of what they talk about -- but it's rare. I have read the tells books -- and actually tells mostly come from bets.

   

  A strange bet out of postion for example.

   

  Getting played back at sends warning signs.

   

  Now i am just a tourney NL player -- These days with all this aggression, you really have to use position, but I have noticed in live play people have been softening up.

  I'm not a live player but certainly watching on TV, I'd have to agree and say that it's the betting patterns that more or less always give the game away.

  Also in live play handling the chips is a good tell. If their hands are shakey or they fumble over their chips it's usually a good hand.
  
  I'll sometimes do it as a false-tell on a bluff. But always remember. . .
  
  You can't bluff someone who isn't paying attention.
