i keep getting the dreaded fate error when i try uploading pics.. only today its been happening

Uploading to a group or your personal album?

What browser are you using? I do have a trouble ticket submitted to the Dev Team regarding I believe Firefox browsers in the Group photos section because it's using a broken version of the picture file uploader

Hey Chato,

Try Internet Explorer and see if that works at least. Let me know and then I'll update the Dev Team with specifics so they can check on it

AJ, i tried on IE... look at my AC/DC album thats what i supposedly uploaded! and it says to download file.. what is it?

now im getting fatal error using IE, how to u make photos smaller?

Chato, can you be more specific about the error you're recieving? If you can get me a screencapture of the specific error that would really help.

I think I recall in the past you were trying to upload photos with sizes that were above 2MB each, which was causing a problem for you?

Your computer should have some sort of photo editing program, even Microsoft Paint, that can be used to resize a photo to a smaller size (which should reduce the file size as well)

So perhaps try to right-click a photo file on your monitor and then select "open with" and choose Paint (or another photo editing program) and edit the picture and save it in the new smaller size?

Right, you should be able to resize your photos (perhaps something like 600 width?) and that should give you a file size significantly smaller (your current photos may be 1024 or greater in width, resulting in a larger file size)

ok I got it.... now I just need to fugure out how to change all the pics at one time!!! i dont wanna go thru them one at a time

You might consider checking your cameras settings as well. Perhaps this will allow you to change the resolution it saves the initial file in, so you don't have to fight with them later, resizing everything.

Anyway, glad you figured it out my man!
