Emily Redford: I was playing a horse tourney, doing eh- but then tripled up during razz. Of course then stud came on and I bombed. I wish they had HORE but I guess that's a bad name for it. LOL

Joseph Kuciemba → Emily Redford: it is hard to find straight Razz tournaments but if you are strong enough in the game it is a good asset in HORSE and mixed 8-game as most players tend to play less RAZZ

Emily Redford: I have to say- I'm really getting into razz, and pretty good I think so far. Well, I've been winning, so I guess that means good. Wish it was offered more online- it's hard to find any tourneys for it. :(

Emily Redford: OK, I don't know if I'd say I LOVE Omaha H/L- I play occassionally. Honestly, Omaha takes me longer to play in general since it changes so much- but if I'm going to play, it's gotta be h/l, I'm such a whore for the low.

My 2010 has been going non-stop so fast that when I got a message on my phone that AJ had posted a comment on my profile I decided I needed to check the site and see what I have been missing....

It is great to see that the site is still growing and I feel bad for myself that I haven't been keeping up with it like I was in 2009 up untill the Christmas holidays. Now for my poker updates....

I have played very few live tournaments or in any casino so far in 2010 because I have been playing a lot more on-line on PokerStars and also doing a lot of traveling. I have played in a couple of Charity tournaments which have been very enjoyable and profitable because of the loose easy money of some players that decide to play. In fact I have a charity tournament that I am suppossed to play this coming Saturday the 20th to benefit a Volunteer Fire Department (Just got the e-mail today). After of which I am suppossed to go to a B-Day party and play Beer Pong. Been quite sometime since I have played that game ... oh well drinks are drinks sometimes. I will try to take plenty of pitcures and post in the forum from the Charity Tournament though.

Now for the on-line poker news...

I have almost completely stepped away from NL Hold-Em for the past 3 months and only playing Omaha H-L NL,PL, and Limit. Unlike AJ my greater success is in NL and PL. I may not have the patience sometimes for Limit. I have been putting almost all of my focus on this game getting ready for the SCOOP on PokerStars this coming May and of course the couple of Omaha H-L tournaments at the Rio this summer in the "Series the World comes to play in." I try to play about 2-3 of the large tournaments a day, about 10 9-18 player SNG's, and an hour or two at the cash tables.

I really enjoy the Turbo 18 player NL Omaha H-L with a success rate of 75% placing either in 1st or 2nd. Making it an overall profitable adventure. My main problem in the large tournaments is after I run through the 600-1500 players I seem to loose focus when I get down to the final 2 tables and get off my game. Should be my strong point since I play 18 player SNG's all the time but sometimes I try to steal those big blinds to many times. Not to say I don't final table but I don't manage my chips late as well as I should. A problem I must completely correct before all the big money starts sitting on the line.

Will right more later on now that I am back checking the site. Pulling an all nighter in a PL Omaha H-L tournament right now actually. 1020 players started ... 379 left ... top117 cash ... sitting in 30th ... time to focus.

Bottom line so far 2010 has been a profitable year thus far.

Bad beats do happen and if you flip out and let your emotions get involved it goes into your next game or table .... tough beat but continue to play smart

I have posted many a time about deep runs or wins for me in PL or NL Omaha H/L tournaments and I decided today I would "squat" down and play AJ's FL Omaha H/L ...

Of course I chipped away FFFAAASSSTTT .... I could not understand why people would play how they did. Then I got into the mind set that they would play while it was cheap. Of course I played a low limit tournament because I am not able to be patient enough at High Limit Omaha H/L tables. Not sure how to post the 1ST PLACE vistory in the name of AJ on PokerStars ..but after a good 135 runners and almost 5 hours of play I took it down for POKERNATIONS ... and even talked about the site a lot during final table play.

AJ ... I don't know how you do it on a regular basis but after tonight I need a nap and then a good HIGH Limit PL or NL Omaha H/L game .. lol

I don't like having to write on this topic without Anthony putting in his thoughts .....

First it all depends whether it is tourney or cash game ....cash game maybe it could be ok to make the call if you can handle the possible lose.

In a tournament the only reason you could make this play is if the blinds are very low and you don't care about the buy-in to much ... late in tourney an easy fold. REMEMBER there is always a high but not always a low...

Assuming also that this is PL or NL which is my game but if it is FL PLEASE consult AJ because I am to impatient to play the game .... basically this makes the 3rd spot between AJ, Kash, and DJKw418 asking me about coaching and/or strategy guides ... I will write two good threads tomorrow on both PL and NL Omaha H/L basic but strong strategy.

Would love to read a a thread though from AJ about Limit Omaha H/L to help me be patient ... lol
